Press Release: Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust sign up to AI Health & Care Award with Kheiron
“The study will provide evidence to help assess whether the use of AI in this instance could be a viable option,” said Dr William Teh, clinical lead with Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
We are delighted to announce that Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust have signed up to work with Kheiron Medical Technologies as part of the AI in Health & Care Award. The aim is to ensure that Mia®, our AI platform for breast screening, works for any every woman, everywhere when she attends for routine breast screening. We aim to make Mia, whose name comes from Mammography Intelligent Assessment, fully generalisable so that its performance holds regardless of where in the UK a woman attends her appointment.
Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust have published comms sharing details on our partnership, with clinical lead Dr William Teh stating:
“The study will provide evidence to help assess whether the use of AI in this instance could be a viable option. It’s an opportunity to analyse and assess the differences between human and machine made decisions and to learn whether AI has the potential power to positively transform clinical practice in real-world screening populations.”
